Leadership (JIBL)

(For the 3rd Issue)

 

Introduction

The Journal of International Business and Leadership Studies (JIBLS), is an academic journal of the International Leadership Institute (ILI) that is published bi-annually. JIBLS is multidisciplinary in scope, and interdisciplinary in content and approach. As such, it welcomes

Scholarly works not just only from business and leadership disciplines such as finance, management, marketing and leadership, but also from other disciplines including HRM, Public administration, political science and economics. When submitting manuscripts to JIBLS, authors should ensure that their manuscript has not been previously published, not accepted for publication elsewhere and it must not be under review for publication elsewhere and should not be submitted to another publication entity during the JIBLS review process.

Manuscript Preparation and Submission Requirements

 

Format

Manuscripts should not exceed 20 pages (including tables, figures, and references) written with

double line spacing, Times New Roman font, 12 points. Book reviews should be 3 to 5 pages.

 

Style

JIBLS’s editorial style conforms to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological

Association (APA) (5th ed.). So, all manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the form and style as outlined in the APA.

 

Author Biography

Submission of manuscripts needs to be accompanied with a brief autobiography of the author/s

indicating academic qualification, professional affiliation, current  position, mailing address and area of research interest. Author biography should appear immediately before the Reference section.

 

Body of manuscript

Cover page: The cover page should list/specify the following: Title of the manuscript; Manuscript type (article, research report, book review, or abridged thesis/dissertation); Title, Full name/s, affiliation and address/es of all authors (postal, email, telephone and fax). For convenience  of  review  process, personal information like  author’s name, academic  rank, affiliation, address, and e-mail  addresses  should appear  only  on the cover  page and Author  Biography section.

 

Abstract:

Abstract of 200 to 500 words should be provided following cover page. A list of 3 to 5 key words should be included in the abstract to describe the main subjects discussed in the    manuscript. .

 

Text:

Follow this order when preparing manuscripts:  Title, Abstract, Keywords, Main Text, Author Biography, Appendix, and References

 

References:

All resources acknowledged in the text should be included in the reference section

(Use APA style).

 

Submission in One Document

All the submission (cover page, abstract, and body of the paper, tables, figures, author biography, references and appendices) should be placed in one document.

All submissions to JIBLS will be reviewed initially by the editors for appropriateness to the Journal. If the editors consider the manuscript to be appropriate, it will then be sent for anonymous review.

 

Submission Schedule

Submissions are accepted year-round. For this particular announcement, the manuscript submission deadline will be on or before  30 April 2014.

5th Joint International Conference
Investment Trends in Africa and the Global Economic Recovery
December 12-13, 2013
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

 

International Leadership Institute, Addis Ababa, in collaboration with the University of Greenwich, London, would like to invite researchers and specialists in Africa to present papers at the Joint International Conference. This is due to take place from December 12-13, 2013.
The conference is the fifth of its kind and is fast establishing itself as a leading forum on critical issues in economics and governance in Africa and their implication on the Global Business. Speakers will be selected from researchers at the International Leadership Institute, the University of Greenwich and other leading institutions and organisations. Keynote speakers will present the latest findings from their research into dynamics of economic and business realities in Africa within wider global context. The conference offers a unique opportunity to meet and discuss current issues with the most prominent researchers working in Africa.
This conference is being organised under the theme Investment Trends in Africa and the Global Economic Recovery. It will take a timely look at the impact of the global financial crisis on the economies of Africa and highlight new opportunities formed by the new world economic order.

The conference will be held at the International Leadership Institute in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.


Deadlines for Presenters


Full research papers are expected to reach the committee by November 14, 2013. Presentation slides should be sent not later than December 6, 2013.
