ILI and UoG institute joint organizing committee for December 2009 Conference
The conference, from 6 – 13, December 2009, is organised by the ILI in collaboration with the University of Greenwich. A joint organizing committee from ILI, UOG and Participating Organizations from Addis Ababa will be formed to facilitate and overlook the conference. The role of the organizing committee will be:
• Develop a document on the nature of the conference
• Oversee the smooth running of the conference
• Develop the conference schedule
• Promote the conference among potential participants and scholars
• Identify and screen eligible conference speakers
• Outline how ILI and University of Greenwich work in collaboration to make the conference a success
• Publish proceedings
The conference is beneficial for participating organizations, including the University of Greenwich, in many ways. ILI currently enrols students from all walks of life including high profile government officials and business people, which are an excellent opportunity for participating organizations to promote joint programmes, initiate collaborations and create a network of policymakers and academia. The conference will create opportunity for more contacts and the impression from the conference will encourage more students to enrol in the ILI-University of Greenwich joint academic programmes and/or other possible programmes that may emerge from more collaborations. It will also create an opportunity to imprint the visibility of participating organizations within the various organizational systems of Ethiopia and knowledge of each other.
